A Studio That Respects Your Hustle

We believe good artists deserve good systems, strong support, and a space they actually want to come into each day. Here’s what you can expect:

Tiered commission split starting at 50/50 and scaling up to 70/30 based on experience, consistency, and contribution
You keep 100% of your tips
No chair fees or hidden expenses
Shop covers essential basic supplies, marketing, and client communication tools
Optional access to steady walk-in traffic to help you grow
Admin and team support with booking, logistics, and promotion—so you can stay focused on tattooing

Whether you’re new to the area or just looking for the right tattoo shop hiring with integrity and offering access to a large, established real client base, Golden Child offers a space to grow your bookings, your skills, and your reputation.

Who We’re Looking For

Artists who take their work seriously—and want to keep evolving.

We’re always accepting applications from tattooers who meet the following:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a studio setting
A strong, up-to-date portfolio (website or Instagram link preferred). Provide input to our marketing team to create your artist page, get your portfolio online, and promote your work.
Be available to take walk-ins and online bookings on average at least three days a week (you still control your calendar and can block out un-booked hours; and you can reschedule when needed, as long as handled professionally)
Willingness to be flexible in terms of style and subject matter and take a consultative approach with clients who come to you via shop walk-ins and marketing, helping as needed to shape their ideas and requests into a well-designed and executed tattoo
Self-driven and organized, with the ability to work independently while making good use of studio resources and contributing to shared success
Positive energy, clean technique, and great communication skills. We practice Positive Mental Attitude so we and our clients can have fun with the creative process every day.
Active social media presence and interest in promoting your work

Golden Child was founded by Brandon “Sixer” Castillo, a seasoned tattooer who’s been in the game since 2007. With a deep respect for the craft and a passion for helping people express their power through body art, Sixer built this studio to be more than just a place to work—it’s a place to grow.

From his earliest days tattooing and piercing friends, to creating a professional space that reflects his values, Sixer leads with purpose. He knows what it’s like to grind—and he’s built a shop that supports artists through structure, professionalism, and a clear path forward.
