If you’re serious about growing your career, building a loyal clientele, and creating a body of work you’re proud of, here’s what we ask from you:

📸 Promotion & Portfolio Building

We actively invest in helping you stay booked—from SEO and paid ads to social media strategy and portfolio support. In return, we ask that our artists:

Regularly post their work on Instagram and tag the shop as a collaborator when possible (you own the content and can remove the tag anytime).
Keep their artist pages up to date with photos of their work (we’ll provide guidance—just send us your best shots).
Be open to content requests or quick check-ins with our marketing team to support promotional efforts.

This is about helping everyone on our team do our best work and bask in our shared creative success.

📅 Availability For Booking and Walk-Ins

We work hard and invest heavily to keep our staff busy.

Here’s what we ask in return:

Aim for an average of at least 3 bookable days per week, including Saturdays when possible
Be available for online booking, consultations, and walk-ins on those days (you set your hours)
Showing up on time and ready to work on those days and at those times unless other plans are made or unforeseen issues arise
Stay responsive and professional in communication, especially if you need to reschedule a client—our system and admin team are here to support that

Golden Child was founded by Brandon “Sixer” Castillo, a seasoned tattooer who’s been in the game since 2007. With a deep respect for the craft and a passion for helping people express their power through body art, Sixer built this studio to be more than just a place to work—it’s a place to grow.

From his earliest days tattooing and piercing friends, to creating a professional space that reflects his values, Sixer leads with purpose. He knows what it’s like to grind—and he’s built a shop that supports artists through structure, professionalism, and a clear path forward.

Who We’re Hiring

Tattoo Artists

We’re looking for experienced tattooers with a clean, consistent portfolio and a thoughtful, client-centered approach. You should be able to work independently, collaborate with the team, and bring both professionalism and care to the chair.

Piercing Artists

We’re hiring skilled piercers who are passionate about quality, safety, and client comfort. Experience with high-end jewelry and multiple placements is a plus. If you’re calm under pressure, friendly and able to put clients of any age, identity, or creed at ease, and love helping people feel like their best selves, we’d love to hear from you.
